COIM to Expand Polyester Polyols Production Capacity in Italy

OFFANENGO, Italy -- C.O.I.M. s.p.a., global polyurethane chemicals producer, announced recently that it will break ground to expand its European polyester polyols manufacturing capacity in Offanengo, Italy.

The investment is expected to be completed by September 2015 and will increase the capacity of aliphatic and aromatic polyester polyols by 35,000 metric tons.

"The growing demand of COIMs aliphatic and aromatic polyester polyols will soon saturate the actual polyester polyols capacity", said Lucio Siano, C.E.O. of COIM. "This decision demonstrates COIMs commitment to the European rigid foam insulation market, C.A.S.E., footwear applications as well as captive use."

Financial details are not being disclosed.
