    道康寧展示新型橡膠膠粘劑

      Dow Corning Corporation will underscore how Smart Science Drives Mobility Innovation™ as it touts breakthrough silicone adhesive and fluorosilicone rubber technology at the SAE 2016 World Congress and Exhibition. Developed with industry collaboration to meet key automotive design needs, the innovative adhesive and engineered elastomer technologies will be showcased in a Dow Corning exhibit at the upcoming SAE event April 12 through 14 at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.

      After initial newsmaking product launches last year, Dow Corning will highlight its award-winning advanced Thermal Radical Cure™ (TRC) silicone adhesives and high-temperature fluorosilicone rubber (FSR), along with other material science innovations for high-performance mobility solutions. Both technologies involve innovative chemistries to deliver an attractive range of features, advantages and benefits for challenging automotive applications. Visitors to Dow Corning’s Booth 1135 will have access to company specialists for product samples, interactive demonstrations, technical details, and discussing potential application needs.

      Dow Corning® EA-7100 Adhesive (1.5 MB PDF), an industry-first TRC adhesive, greatly expands design options for automotive electronics by enabling strong device-assembly bonds to a far wider variety of substrates than previous silicone adhesives. In addition, this one-part heat-cure adhesive also cures rapidly and at lower temperatures from the “inside out” to greatly accelerate processing and reduce both energy use and material costs.

      "With a patented new silicone chemistry, this family of innovative adhesives offers significantly broader design latitudes for next-generation control units, sensors, lighting and display modules," said Brice Le Gouic, global marketing manager for Dow Corning Transportation Electronics. "This technology earned R&D Magazine’s prestigious 2015 R&D 100 Award, demonstrating the value of collaboration to help our customers win."

      In response to customer needs and demands, soon-to-be-released Silastic® brand fluorosilicone rubber for higher operating temperatures (2.2 MB PDF) – a significant enhancement to Dow Corning’s industry-leading fluorosilicone rubber (FSR) portfolio – can help meet design trends toward smaller engine compartments, increased exhaust-gas recirculation and decreased airflow that are driving underhood temperatures increasingly higher.

      "The advanced FSR chemistry can be applied to our full range of FSR elastomers, offering greater design flexibility for components such as turbocharger hose liners, seals and gaskets, diaphragms, membranes, and flexible valves," said Craig Gross, senior application engineer for fluorosilicone elastomers at Dow Corning.
